The 4 Day Diet: Be Thinner by Friday by Ian K. Smith, M.D. / 236 pages. Read over diet period

This book was just as good as the Fat Smash Diet book. Although this book included a lot more details of diets and in depth information on how to take charge of your diet this time around, it still was not a simple read. In this book, Dr. Smith introduces several different four day diets that can be done in or out of order. The first 4 day diet has to always be first regardless of how much weight one needs to loose. The first 4 day diet is titled “The Induction Module” which is where you detox to remove old toxins from the body. The second 4 day diet is titled “The Transition Module” which is where you begin to re-introduce foods into your diet that was not allowed during the detox. The third 4 day diet is titled “The Protein Stretch Module” which is where you only load up on protein. The fourth 4 day diet is titled “The Smooth Module” which is where you are allowed to eat pasta and some other fried foods again. The fifth 4 day diet is titled “The Push Module” which is where you are allowed to mix up your exercise and meal plans to include more choices. The Push Module allows one to push themselves at a consistent pace by using mental focus. The sixth 4 day diet is titled “The Pace Module” which is where you are allowed to move ahead in a diet and exercise plans but at the steady pace you learned to maintain in previous modules or 4 day diets. The seventh 4 day diet is titled “The Vigorous Module” which is where Dr. Ian Smith would say you are approaching the finish line. In the Vigorous Module one is allowed to challenge him or herself but also understand how to maintenance their healthy weight goal long-term. This book also help dieters understand some of the logistics behind setting realistic goals, resist temptation, thinking thin, counting every bite and rewarding oneself when needed.
